As you can see above, the age group of 25-34 are the 33% users of Instagram followed by the age group of 18-24, 35-44 and so on.

The first two age group which contribute more to the Instagram users list has the highest number of female users. As we saw on the statistic of Facebook monthly users, the countries from Asia pacific won that list but here, in Instagram, United States top the list of monthly active users list with 120 Million monthly users followed by India(75 million), Brazil (69 million) and so on. 

Instagram is the best platform to promote visual-based content like photos and videos. One of the great features of Instagram is its explore section. You are going to get tremendous engagement from it (and that too for free).

LinkedIn is another very popular social media network, but this platform is slightly different from other networks. It is a platform to connect professionals. The word limit was just 140 characters which were doubled to 280 for all languages except Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. In the first quarter of 2019, Twitter reported having 330 million active users globally. Twitter is the only platform where the monthly active users are somewhat similar for every quarter from the last four years.

Twitter is a platform where Entrepreneurs, Politicians, Brands and the general public can connect and communicate effectively. Nowadays, If you have noticed, many people write their complaints or queries to the brands directly on twitter and it also gets solved over one tweet. Twitter is a platform that has the power to viral anything in little to no time. It is one of the best platforms for brands to get noticed by their unique ideas.

  • Pinterest:

Launched in March 2010, Pinterest has reached 300 million monthly active users as of August 2019 in such a short period of time. Just like Instagram, Pinterest is a platform that only focuses on visual content like photos, videos, and GIFs with a unique feature. which makes.

It a favorite of the bloggers and that unique feature is a linking to the article or product. You just have to pin an appealing photo to Pinterest with the basic details. Like title and description and it can do magic for your traffic.  

As you can see below in the graphical statistics, the number of monthly active users are continuously increasing every year. Every platform attracts the interest of the specific gender so does Pinterest. Pinterest is a platform that attracts mostly the female audience. Though the above statistical data is old, the scenario is the same as in the second quarter of 2019. Around 70% of Pinterest users are Females.
